Michelle Murphy is the Assistant Clinical Director at MCMS supervising all clinical work at the Women’s Center and Prospect Location. She graduated with a dual master’s in Art Therapy and Counseling from Ursuline College and from Cleveland State with a Bachelor’s degree in Studio Art.
Michelle has been in the field of counseling for 6 years and has a specialty in alcohol and drug counseling as well as in AOD supervision, mental health and a passion for art therapy. Michelle’s experience includes working with clients who have been victims of sex trafficking and a strong passion for empowering those who need a voice. Michelle began her passion by volunteering over-seas in Africa, Cambodia and Thailand to fight for the elimination of the use of children in the sex trade industry and also advocating for those experiencing severe poverty within those nations. These experiences led her to achieve her master’s degree and she is now enjoying working within her passion at MCMS.
